The Black Horse, Climping is a 17th century pub, and a popular haunt for locals to gather, a well-loved and welcoming place for the community, families and visitors to the area.

We have restored, polished and retained as many original features as possible while adding our touch with a custom built pewter bar, a double sided wood burner stove, deep sofas and a gloriously pink private room, to create a 'clymping great pub'. 

The Black Horse, Climping is delighted to have won the prestigious  Muddy Stilettos award for Best Destination Pub in Sussex. We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of you who voted for us, these are coveted awards for independent businesses across the country, and we are so proud of the team to have won this.
