About
Knepp is a trailblazing 3,500-acre rewilding project in Sussex that has changed the way we think about nature and how we can heal our planet. Since Knepp began rewilding in 2000, life has poured back to the Wildland, including nightingales, turtle doves and purple emperor butterflies – some of the rarest creatures in Britain. Roaming herds of cattle, ponies, pigs and deer shape the land, creating dynamic scrubland, wild meadows, wetland and wood pasture. Knepp is a story of hope, showing how nature can bounce back if we let it.
Join one the Guided Safaris as an expert ecologist takes you into the heart of the Wildland, through a range of stunning natural habitats heaving with wildlife. Weave through rewilded scrub and spot white storks circling the skies, free-roaming herbivores grazing the land, and purple emperor butterflies feeding on honeydew.
