Explore Sheffield Park and Garden, a Grade-I listed garden in East Sussex formed through centuries of landscape design.

Water plays a starring role in the garden, with falls, cascades and bridges set amongst magnificent lakes, perfectly reflecting the bold planting at the water’s edge.

Spring brings fragrant arbours and vibrant colours to the garden, with the National Collection of Ghent Azaleas especially striking alongside the stunning pink Rhododendron Hinomayo. Waterlilies cover the lakes during summer, and autumn hosts a spectacular display of colours, chosen for their combined impact.

A Garden for the Future has been created within the existing garden in the spirit of experimentation and adaption, with the planting schemes looking to other parts of the world for inspiration and plants chosen for their climate resilience.

The garden is also surrounded by more than 300 acres of historic parkland and woodland.

Family-friendly activity trails are a key feature throughout the year, with Easter activities, Summer of Play and Christmas trails providing a great day out for all ages.

Wheelchair user accessible - A large part of the garden is accessible, there are some slopes and paths made of a non-gravel surface. The parkland and cricket pitch are rough terrain without level access. Please call 01825 790231 if you would like to reserve a mobility vehicle. We recommend you book well in advance to avoid disappointment, especially at busy times such as autumn.
